Memphis explores lawsuit against NBA over lockout

The Memphis City Council voted Tuesday to explore the city’s options regarding the NBA lockout, including a potential lawsuit against the league for lost revenue.

Early estimates indicate that Memphis taxpayers could have to pay about $18 million in bond payments on FedExForum if the entire NBA season is missed, My Fox Memphis reports.

Council attorney Allan Wade will report back to the council in two weeks on whether it should move forward with a lawsuit against the NBA. The council voted 8-3 to approve the resolution.
